Haunted Houses are one of the most visited places during the Halloween season, this Halloween my friends, family, and I decided to take a trip thirty minutes down the road to Maryville, Tennessee for A.M.S Haunted Attractions. While this wasn’t our first choice, we had high hopes because of how many good reviews it had. As soon as we got there its creepy barn reminded me of every cheesy Halloween movie made in the eighties. After my group checked in with our online tickets we were put at the front of the line because of our fast passes, this cut the wait time in half. Then we were guided into a pen where they told us the rules and manners of their attraction, finally we headed in. After the first steps we were quickly hit with a series of jump scares and scare actors, this gave us a good fright but after that, it seemed like it was already over. The walkthrough lasted about ten minutes, but with the general admission tickets costing ten dollars, you are definitely getting what you paid for. If your family has younger children or people that cannot handle scary things well I recommend going to A.M.S. Don’t worry if you can’t make it out for their Halloween Haunt because on December 16-17 they have a Christmas Haunt. However, if the scare factor you want is one of extreme or over-the-top I might recommend another place.
