Have you had Mr. Roberts as a teacher yet? He is the head of the science department and has been teaching for 21 years. I asked Mr. Roberts to fill out a questionnaire that included various questions, such as why he became a teacher. He stated, “There’s an internal calling that I have never been able to describe.. that I knew I wanted to teach and coach.”
He received his Bachelor's degree and Master's degree from UT, and his Education Specialist degree from LMU. Do you hate homework? Of course, you do, who doesn’t? Well, Mr. Roberts doesn’t believe in giving homework. Do you dislike old teaching methods, like writing on paper all day? If so, know that Mr. Roberts uses technology every day. Have you ever wondered how teachers always remember their students' names? Here's Mr. Robert’s secret behind it. He states that it is, “To try and talk to them every day. It's hard to forget them when you conversate with them every day.”
Outside of school, Mr. Roberts likes to hike, travel, and spend time with his family. As much as he loves restaurants, would much rather go on a picnic or eat on the back of his tailgate. Interesting fact; Harry Potter, a very popular series, is disliked by Mr. Roberts. Surprising, isn't it? Another fascinating fact; there are many acceptable quotes to live your life by, and Mr. Roberts lives by this one: “If Mama's not happy, then nobody’s happy.”
