━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Before this game, Alabama ranked 6th and LSU ranked 10th in the nation. Thirteen points favored the Crimson Tide, and everyone expected Alabama to win, especially after they lost a game this year. The last time Alabama lost more than one regular season game was in 2019, and before that, it was in 2010. This year has been different than what Alabama was used to since Saban has been their head coach. This game, in particular, was very odd because LSU is a good team, but seeing Alabama lose to them was unexpected. Alabama got into the red zone in the first quarter looking to score the first points of the game, but Bryce Young's throw was intercepted, giving LSU’s defense a lot of momentum against a really good offense. With a minute to go in the first half, the score was 7-3; Alabama drove down the field making a field goal on fourth down, and the score was 7-6 at halftime. In the third quarter, on 4th and 6, Alabama was stopped and had to try for another field goal, which they got, taking the lead 9-7. LSU got the lead back with three minutes to go in the third quarter when Josh Williams scored a 2-yard rushing touchdown, taking the lead 14-9. As the time ran out in the 4th quarter, Alabama made a field goal to tie the game at 24 apiece and send it to overtime. Alabama got the ball first, scored on 3rd and goal, and made the extra point, making the score 31-24. LSU gets the ball, and quarterback Jayden Daniels scrambles for a touchdown. At this point, as head coach Brian Kelly, you have to make a big call: do you tie it with an extra point and go to a second overtime, knowing your players are exhausted after this long game, or do you go for the win? Brian Kelly made the call to go for 2, and Jayden Daniels put Mason Taylor in motion, then snapped the ball, sprinted to his right side, and made the game-winning throw to Taylor. Tiger fans stormed the field, and as an Alabama player, coach, or fan, you have to get a flashback to the Tennessee game.
