America Ferrera was born on April 18, 1984, in Los Angeles California. Her parents who came to the States in 1970 from Honduras are America Griselda Ayes and Carlos Gregorio Ferrera. She is an actress, director, and television producer. Her first role was in a movie called “Gotta Kick It Up!” made in 2002 by Disney. Later that year, she was cast as Ana Garcia in a coming-of-age film “Real Women Have Curves. Some other shows or movies she starred in are Ugly Betty from 2006-2010 as she starred as Betty the main character. She also starred in the show Superstore from 2015 to 2021 as Amy she started as the floor supervisor and then into the store manager. She also starred in the movie Barbie in 2023 as Gloria, her real life as a real-life woman who had a family and worked in the company Mattel.
