One of the best restaurants to go to for bbq would have to be Archer’s BBQ. Archer’s story about going into the bbq business is an interesting one. According to www.archersbbq.com, as a kid, Archer was always curious about BBQ. When Archer was a teenager, Corky’s BBQ opened in his neighborhood. He was one of the first customers through the door. Over the years, he ate at as many BBQ joints as he could and kept a list of what stood out from each one. This helped him later to grow his business.

He entered the BBQ business in Atlanta, GA, where he was one of the first investors in Fox Brothers BBQ. He learned a lot from it and ended up selling his shares in the company and moved to Knoxville to open his first restaurant; Archer’s BBQ. Over the past decade, Archer’s has gone from one location to five in the Knoxville area. Archers are often voted Best BBQ in Knoxville by knoxnews.com's "BEST OF" competition. It's listed as one of the best BBQ joints in Tennessee by bigseventravel.com. They smoke their BBQ daily and are well known for their ribs. They also have tender brisket. Their food is some of the best BBQ in the Knoxville area. They aren’t that fancy; the restaurants generally have an old-style theme. They are usually located in small, modest buildings- but their BBQ is anything but modest. Next time you want some delicious BBQ, you should give Archer’s BBQ a try.
