Balancing school with sports can be extremely difficult at times. You are responsible for getting homework turned in on time while also practicing your respective sport. Being mentally and physically tired is something all student athletes feel at times. Your teacher could give you an assignment that is to be worked on outside of school but you are completely booked with practice that week. This could cause you to feel stressed or under a lot of pressure by your coaches and teacher. That can be difficult. Everybody needs a break sometimes. While you may want to hangout with your friends on your off day, it may be a better idea to catch up on some rest or relax your body to be able to reset for the following week. If you do not give yourself reset days it becomes a lot harder to keep going and improve in life. Although it is important to get your school work done and it be first priority, it's not impossible to succeed in academics and athletics simultaneously. One way you could manage both things is by balancing and scheduling your days. Grab a planner or even just a piece of paper and write down a schedule for yourself. Being able to look at your full day and arrange times to fit everything in can relieve stress. With less stress you can worry more about the day right in front of you rather than worrying about things weeks in advance.
