The Boston Red Sox is a famous Major League Baseball organization. Founded in 1901, the Red Sox has grown to be one of the world's most well-known baseball teams. They have the oldest major league fields with the best features, including green monster, the left field wall that is thirty-seven feet tall, making it really hard for a ball to get out of the park. I got to go to Fenway Park and see the Red Sox take on their biggest rival, the Yankees. The atmosphere is crazy with thousands of Boston fans cheering them on. The Yankees and Sox rivalry has been going on for about a hundred years, and it's always a great matchup. The Red Sox have had some of the best players to ever play the game on their team. Babe Ruth, who is known to be the best player ever, played for the Red Sox from 1914-1919 before going to the Yankees. Ruth being sold to the Yankees caused one of the most talked about events in sports. The “Curse of the Bambino” was a phenomenon that was said to be a bad omen placed on the Sox for letting Ruth go. The curse wasn't broken until 2004, when the Sox came back from losing 3 straight games in a best-of-seven American League series before going to the World Series and beating the Cardinals.
