Why is Christmas celebrated? Christmas is not just a holiday that many people mark to remember Jesus' birth, but it is also a significant cultural occasion. There are many diverse ways that people celebrate throughout the world; here are some examples. Christmas supper is served by KFC in Poland and Japan. In Japan, it is also the time for friends and couples to throw parties, schedule dinner dates, and generally enjoy themselves. People in Slovakia share wafers before dinner and eat fish for supper whereas, in Sweden, Saint Holiday decorations and boats are popular. Other holiday traditions include Ethiopian Christmas Processions, German Christmas markets, Filipino Nochebuena celebrations, and lots of light displays. Because everyone is unique and celebrates in a different way, everyone in the world is special.
