Christmas is one of the best times of the year. Everyone is excited to spend time with family and do all the fun Christmas activities. Christmas Eve is when everyone gets the most excited because there is only one more sleep until Christmas morning! What is a better way to bring in the holiday spirit than with some Christmas Eve traditions that everyone looks forward to each year? Some of my family’s favorite traditions on Christmas Eve is we always have everyone come over and we watch some of our favorite Christmas movies, then we proceed to have a Christmas Eve dinner. After dinner, we go out and look at the best Christmas lights, then when we get back home we start making some cookies to decorate. We sit around and listen to Christmas music as we decorate our cookies, we then pick out our favorites, and then my nephews set them out for Santa. Lastly, we open one gift, and every year that gift is a pair of pajamas that we wear that night to sleep in. Christmas is always a consistent time when you look forward to doing the same things you do every single year. It is a great time to get close to family and feel so much joy while being with them. Traditions ultimately set the mood for the entire holiday season.
