While there are many fun events here in Powell to do during the holidays, the annual Christmas Parade remains a crowd favorite. This year's Parade was held on December 7th, 2024. Every year businesses and students here in the Powell community join together to make the parade. Within the parade, our very own band members from Powell High School marched playing a classic Christmas song and other schools and churches nearby joined in. Many families enjoy coming out here to let their kids join in on the fun. I remember going to these parades every year when I was little and catching all the candy, seeing all the high schoolers having fun on the floats. I always wanted to see what everything was about. Seeing all the trucks and cars decorated really elevates the Christmas spirit for every child, teenager, and adult out there watching and participating in the parade. It does not matter what age you are, you can enjoy the Christmas cheer. So, if you did not get to go to the parade this year I highly encourage you to go next year and bring anyone along that you think would enjoy.
