Dolores Hidalgo is a city in Mexico that is well-known for its museum and how pretty the city is. But is not just known for that, Dolores Hidalgo is also known for (el Grito de Miguel Hidalgo) the scream of Miguel Hidalgo. Miguel Hidalgo was a priest from the church Parroquia de Nuestra Señora de Los Dolores. When Miguel Hidalgo gave el Grito (the scream or shout) he exclaimed his 'vivas' to the Virgin of Guadalupe, the Catholic Church, and independence and also shouts his 'deaths' to the bad government, injustices, and the gachupines. Miguel Hidalgo will always be remembered in the city of Dolores Hidalgo because of his courageous actions. Everyone will remember him as the father of Mexican independence. Some Mexican schools host parties at their campuses to celebrate him and students will even dress up as him.
