Knoxville Ghost Tours is a hands-on paranormal adventure that allows people to investigate the historic and haunted side of Knoxville TN. Other events that downtown hosts include a Halloween escape room, horror movie season, a paranormal adventure tour, a haunted art show, and even more. There are also several child-friendly activities, perfect for all ages. There are also many haunted houses in Knoxville and around Knox to choose from. A haunted house is an ideal date for this time of the year or just something to do with your friends. My favorite is Dead Man's Farm located in Loudon County, others are Frightworks, Frightmare Manor, Screamville, and The 13th Hour Haunted Trail. A more family-friendly fall trip could be to a pumpkin patch. It's a great bonding experience for families or friends and there are always lots of places to get good pictures taken. It's the perfect place to get you in the fall spirit! My favorite and the most popular place everyone goes to is Oakes Farm in Corryton. They have a lot to do other than just a pumpkin patch. They provide a giant corn maze with a design that changes every year, a hay ride to the pumpkin patch, and multiple things for children including trampolines, swing sets, and a race track. Another all-around community favorite is Boo at the Zoo. It's Knoxville's largest Halloween event; it's a family event that features trick-or-treating around the trail where all the little kids can get dressed up and go trick-or-treating while being at the zoo. I recommend doing one of these for Halloween; it's always fun.
