Floyd’s Antiques is a new antique shop that opened on May 1st, 2024 right here in Powell. I recently visited the store for the first time and was shocked by how much they had. They have everything from old furniture to vintage kids' toys. Everything in the store is authentic, and all of it is reasonably priced. It's located right next to Panther Dojo. I went by one day and met the owner Angela Taylor. Surprisingly, she's not always the one watching the store. She explained that nothing in the building was hers. She rents out small areas inside the store to other people and they add the items they are selling, and create the prices. If you ever can't make it to the store on the days it's opened, every Sunday evening Angela hosts a Facebook live where she auctions off items in the store. Angela also drives the Scooby-Doo mystery machine van that you may see around Powell, it comes from her love of Scooby-Doo, and she's currently working on getting more Scooby-Doo items for the store. Running the store though is just something Angela does on the side, she is also a real estate agent. Floyd specializes “in assisting families when they have had a grandparent or parent go into assisted living or pass away. We take care of the items in the estate, and can also sell your estate (Real estate).”
