One thing a person always needs to have in the gym is proper gym etiquette. Gym etiquette is about being considerate of others working out around you. Proper gym etiquette consists of many things, such as being observant, cleaning up after a set, respecting the machines, and not being rude to others. A person needs to be attentive at all times in a gym because they could get injured, which could also be seen as disrespectful to others around them. Individuals need to always clean up after themselves for sanitary reasons and it's showing that they are respectful of the gym. Respecting the machines is a big thing in gym etiquette. If a person does not respect the machines there could be consequences resulting in them getting banned from that certain gym or even severely injuring themselves. Another rule on gym etiquette could be eating in the gym. Eating can cause really bad bug problems. Gym etiquette exists because this allows everyone to do their own things without causing a scene or maybe getting hurt. This creates a pleasant tone for working out. Gym etiquette was created in the mid-nineteenth century when “Gym culture” had started the reason this set of rules arose. It was because all fitness became commercial after the war causing a lot more people to work out in a gym.
