Hidden Story About 9/11

September 11, 2001 was a very tragic day for the United States and will always be in our memory. Although, there are many details that people miss out on from that day when they are more focused on the bigger picture. After flight 77 hit the pentagon at 9:37 a.m., one of the marines ran into a daycare and saw that the children there needed to evacuate. The cribs were very heavy as well as there being several infants and toddlers. The one marine left the daycare and after a while, the director thought they were alone once again until about two minutes later he came back in, this time with forty more marines to help. They carried the children down towards the park near the Potomac. Once they all had arrived at the park, they formed a circle around the children until all the parents could be notified to come to pick up their children. The chaplain said after, “ I don’t think any of us saw nor heard of this on any of the news stories of the day. It was an incredible story of our men there.” For the world to be falling apart at their hands and they still took time out of their day to help the center. Everyone should be known for the kindness and bravery that they had on 9/11.
