Being a good gift giver is not about money, the gift, or thought. In VOX Eliza Brooke wrote “How to become a truly excellent gift giver” She mentions that not everything is about the money or life, but to keep a running list. But how do you keep a running list and what does that mean? To keep a running list is to have a list for a person all year and add to it throughout the years. Not just a week or two leading up to someone's birthday or Christmas. Have a list for them so when the time comes you have some ideas and things you can buy for that person whose birthday or Christmas is coming up. Many have a list of what their loved ones and friends would like as a gift. They would update the list when someone mentions an item they love or something that could be great to give them. But how do you make the list? Some people have a single note about gifts to give to people on their phone, others have different notes for different people, and others use contacts and add what food they like and gift ideas for birthdays and presents. Overall to be a good gift giver, you need to have a running list of gifts to give someone year-round and listen to your friend's wants and needs.
