Tuesday night Powell played Jefferson County at home, last year when Powell played them they tied 1-1 but this year things changed. Powell was determined to take the win, and that's what they did. 32 minutes into the game Powell gets a free kick taken by Hana Kirch (#4), with Sifa Morgan (#16) finishing it with an amazing header straight into the corner of the net. This already puts Powell up 1-0, Jefferson county doesn’t let it slide, both teams start getting more aggressive and the game is getting more intense, and even though there were some questionable calls from out officials Abigail Reiche (#30 with 2 minutes left in the game gets an assist by Sifa Morgan (#16) outrunning 2 defenders to score another goal making the score 2-0. But let's not forget about our amazing back line of Ciarrah Turner (#21), Royce Russel (#13), Kaydence Weinhandl (#14), and Makhira Ralston (#7) who kept our defense strong throughout the whole game, along hand Ella Smith (#12) who had so many amazing saves Tuesday night. Our mid-field consisting of Hana Kirch (#4), Annabel Reiche (#2) and Abigail Reiche (#3) did really well distributing the ball to really get Powell that possession we needed to get both of our goals. Powell is just getting started and we're ready for our first district game of the season against Karns on September 13 @7:00pm, Paws up!
