Kickboxing

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Kickboxing is a form of combat sport that includes fighting using punches and kicks. Punches such as a jab, hook, and uppercut. Kicks include back leg kicks and tornado kicks, which are much harder to do. Most beginners do not use the tornado kick. Kickboxing is not recommended for everyone, and most places require conditioning before fighting. Conditioning can include running, lifting, and shadow boxing. Shadow boxing is a technique where someone practices punching in the air. After conditioning, kickboxers begin to spar, meaning going lightly with their opponent, and most of the time headgear, shin guards, and a mouth guard are used for protection. Though in some places, shin guards are not allowed because they are seen as a disadvantage. Some punches are not allowed, it depends on the company. Punches, like a kidney punch, are illegal in kickboxing due to them being very fatal. There are many rules to keep you safe, but it is still a very life-threatening sport. Many people have gotten severely hurt, and some have even died. Even though it is life-threatening, it is a very fun thing to do and is a good weight-loss plan. Most coaches will give workouts to do when a fight is not taking place, and some will also provide a meal plan that fits the weight class of the person.
