Lady Panther Soccer: Powell vs. Anderson County

Last Thursday, the Powell Lady Panthers had their first home game of the season. They have faced this team previously in the summer during soccer camp. The girl's soccer team won last time, 4-1, but they still had the mindset to kick Anderson County in the teeth. Camp business was left at camp, the Lady Panthers still had something to prove for the season. Hannah Kirsh (#4) scores the game's first goal with an amazing 40-yard free-kick within the first two minutes of play in their typical 4-3-3 formation. Sifa Morgan (#16) later scored the second goal, giving the team confidence. Sifa's second goal was assisted by Abigail Reiche (#3). Anderson County hit the back of our net and made the score 3-1. However, Sifa was ambitious for her hattrick, and soon after their goal. As the second half began, Grayce Barns (#11) got across an incredible corner kick and Royce Russell (#13) got a head on it. Sifa Morgan scores her final goal of the game on an excellent through ball from Annabel Reiche (#3). The Lady Panthers were hungry for a big win, and Annabel (#2) ended the score at 7-1! It was a great way for the Panthers to experiment with their chemistry together and start off the season well!
