“Let’s Go, Brandon”

As many know, crowds at big sporting events have been shouting “F*@# Joe Biden”. It has now turned into “Let’s Go Brandon”, even though those are not the original words that were said. Recently at a NASCAR event, NBC sports reporter Kelli Stavast was interviewing Brandon Brown. Stavast, mistakenly, thought the crowd was chanting “Let's go Brandon” though it was clear to the viewers that was NOT what they were chanting. Donald Trump Jr. immediately tweeted “I'm pretty sure they’re not chanting ‘Lets Go Brandon’ as the NBC reporter is telling us”. Everyone knows that Brandon wasn’t on the people’s minds that day. Another person tweeted “ I don't follow the billboard music charts-but “F*@# Joe Biden” has to be the #1 song in the USA, right now”.

It’s obvious that everyone knows what they were saying, so it would be better to just admit it. I see that she might have switched up the truth a little bit because she could have been fired but, instead, Stavast should have ignored the crowd and kept her conversation going with Brandon. Sometimes you should bring attention to situations like that but in this case, bringing it up to Brandon was not the right move. There was absolutely no way the LIVE NEWS could have switched up what the crowds were chanting. No one will be able to set the record straight, it has already reached everyone and once something goes viral there’s no way to stop it. We Americans should learn not to lie because telling the truth is always the right thing to do, especially when it comes to the news channels/stations. Everyone relies on them. Changing the truth and deception is not what we need or want. Just be honest and tell it like it is.
