Christmas for me starts November 1st. We get out all 6 of our trees and start fluffing. My mom does all this, though. It’s her favorite part—putting them up and decorating them. Me and my sister also get a tree for both of our rooms, and we get to decorate our trees. My family doesn’t have a lot of traditions, but Christmas Eve is when everything happens. We used to go to see more family, but they passed, and we don’t go see that side anymore. But it starts at dinner time on Christmas Eve, and we go to my great-grandmother's house (my mamaw), and we have dinner with our family. Then we go into the living room, and we go from youngest to oldest, opening gifts, but in between, Mamaw opens her gifts. After Mamaws, we go to my Nana and Papaw's house to open gifts; we recently started drawing numbers out of a hat, and that's the order we open gifts. On Christmas day, we wake up early to open gifts downstairs, then My Grandma comes over for breakfast. We eat, then open gifts, and then we may play a game or two. Christmas night, my Nana, Papaw, Aunt, and Uncle come over, and we show them everything we have, and then we have dinner and play games. Overall, I love seeing all my family on Christmas and just being around them.
