NASA's DART (Double Asteroid Redirection Test) mission is NASA's attempt to redirect an asteroid. They plan to do this by slamming a space craft into the asteroid and knocking it off course in the process. It is another step further in Earth's planetary defense system. The contractor is SpaceX and has an estimated power of 6.6kW. It's set to give us a clear view of the asteroid before slamming into it destroying it. Hopefully, this will give us relief on our planetary defense.
