This recipe is from my mom who makes these when we are celebrating and sometimes just to make a normal day feel special.
Ingredients:
Onions - 4 medium-sized
Gram Flour - ¾ cup
Rice flour - 3 tablespoons
Red chili powder - 2 teaspoons
Turmeric - ¼ teaspoon
Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
Cumin Powder - ½ teaspoon
Salt - to taste
Oil - for deep frying
Directions:
Step 1 - Cut onions into either circles or slices and set them aside
Step 2 - Mix together gram flour, rice flour, red chili powder, turmeric, coriander powder, cumin powder, and salt. Add water until it becomes a thick-like consistency.
Step 3 - Heat sufficient oil
Step 4 - taken onions, dip them and coat them in the batter and fry until golden brown
Step 5 - Serve and enjoy!
