Paul Teal, a TV actor on One Tree Hill, died at 35 on Friday, November 14, in Raleigh North Carolina. He was diagnosed in April with stage 4 pancreatic. His partner Emilia Torello posted on Instagram saying, “You were my soulmate, my soon-to-be-husband, my rock, and my future,” “You were taken too soon, in a battle that you fought bravely without fail. While a part of me died with you, I promise to fight to find joy in life as hard as you fought to live every single day.
He first appeared on TV with his guest role Josh on One Tree Hill for seven episodes. Bethany Joy Lenz who helped direct Paul also made an Instagram post stating, “Later, I was giddy to be directing an episode of One Tree Hill where I’d get to cast a new recurring character, Josh-the sleazy movie star. With his self-effacing sense of humor and willingness to dive fully into any character, Paul was perfect for the part.”
After his break in One Tree Hill, he played other roles in Dynasty, The Walking Dead: World Beyond, USS Christmas, Fear Street Part 2: 1978, Deep Water, and Descendants: The Rise of Red. He filmed his part in the upcoming Starz show The Hunting Wives during his fight with cancer. He played other roles across the country. He will forever be remembered.
