Powell Vs. Karns was the Panthers' kick-off to district play, taking home the win 7-0. Only 1 minute in the game Powell gets their first goal, Hana Kirsch (#4) puts us in the lead with a free kick from 30 yards out. The Panthers keep taking shots, with excellent connections from Grayce Barns (#11), Annabel Reiche (#2), and Anna Mata Sanchez (#31), Anna sees Sifa making a great run to the back post, and she plays the ball to Sifa, she takes the shot and scores a great goal, making the score 2-0. 38 minutes into the first half the mid-field drives the ball up finding Kaydence Weinhandl (#14) on the wing, she passes it to Abigail Reiche (#3) connecting a really quick one-two leading to Kaydence Weinhandl to cross the ball over the face of the goal. Powell is lucky to get a body on it with Grayce Barns (#11) putting it back in the box, but Kaydence isn't done. She recovers the ball, Grayce crossed back in and slammed it into the net making Powell up 3-0. Kicking off the 2nd half, Powell is determined. Ella Smith (#12) takes a beautiful goal kick, with it heading toward player Chloe Ashley (#22), and she does an amazing flick over two karns players landing directly at Annabel Reiche's feet, she plays a good through ball to Sifa, Sifa beats 3 defenders with her speed, she takes a shot and it reflects off the keeper but Sifa’s determined to find the net and she does. Sifa blasts the ball into the top left corner of the goal, Panthers 5 Karns 0. Powell gets a corner kick, taken by Chloe Ashley and Hana Kirsch gets pushed around in the box leading to a Penalty kick for the Panthers. Annabel takes the penalty kick with the shot driving into the right corner, 6-0 Lady Panthers. Karns gets a freekick from half line, they're on the attack but Powell's defensive line including Royce Russel (#13), Makhira Ralston (#7), and Ciarrah Turner (#21) clear it out. With 20 seconds in the game, Powell gets a corner kick, and Hana sends a great ball to the back of the box with Annabel Reiche getting a perfect header into the goal, leaving the final score is 7-0.
