For the first time in almost 8 years, the Prince and Princess of Wales are traveling to the United States in late November 2022. The couple will be in Boston, Massachusetts to present awards related to Climate change. With the queen's recent passing, this will be the first international trip for the couple since gaining the title of Prince and Princess of Wales. On November 30, the couple will be welcomed in Boston at a City Hall ceremony with Boston Mayor Michelle Wu and Caroline Kennedy, the current U.S. Ambassador to Australia. The following day the couple will tour a nonprofit organization and a couple of other places in Boston. Next comes the main event of this trip, On December 2, 2022, the couple will attend the EarthShot Awards Ceremony to present five recipients with about $1.2 million in grants to help build their solutions to repair the planet by 2030. The EarthShot Prize was a charity formed in 2020 by Prince William to support goals intended to repair the planet. After the queen's passing earlier this year, this contributes to the royal family as it tries to rebrand itself as a modern monarchy and establish who they are. Although this trip for the couple will be short, it is jammed packed with significant events that will contribute to who they are and what they are trying to achieve.
