Review On Taylor Swift's New Album

Kadie Bell

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Taylor Swift fans have been waiting and trying to figure out when and what time her new album would drop. On October 21, 2022, fans were ecstatic that it had finally dropped. Some may say it wasn't what they expected, while others love this album. This album has a lot of mixed emotions in the songs. One of my favorite songs is Anti-Hero. I enjoy the beat and just how the song moves along. In this song, she guides through all her insecurities and her life. Mainly in this song, she talks about her struggle with depression. In the chorus, she says, “It’s me, hi, I’m the problem, it’s me.” Honestly, this is how life feels sometimes and I feel like no one wants to talk about it. I like how those lyrics captured that. One song I didn’t care for is Snow on the Beach. To start, one of my favorite artists, Lana Del Ray, collaborated with Taylor Swift and I was very excited. She was supposed to be involved in this song. I feel as if she didn’t do hardly anything for that song. I like the meaning of the song, but to build up so much anticipation only to rarely hear Lana Del Ray in this song is saddening. Taylor then released a part two, additionally to that album, Midnights (3 A.M. addition). She added Labyrinth, Karma, The Great War, Bigger than the Whole Sky, Paris, High Infidelity, Dear Reader, Glitch, and Would’ve Could’ve Should’ve. Overall I enjoyed this new album and can’t wait to see what else Taylor has to give.
