School Bathrooms

Powell High School is a pretty good school, but like any other school, it has issues. One of those being the bathrooms. The bathrooms here are very gross. For example, there are many issues with students and school that need to be fixed. In a couple of the bathrooms, the stalls are very short making it very easy for a tall person to look right over, unintentionally of course. While in the bathroom taking these pictures below, a fellow student thanked us for writing about the short stalls, proving this is an issue within the school. A bathroom is somewhere you want complete privacy and the short stalls make it very difficult and awkward for the person using the bathroom and others in there. Another issue that could be fixed are the gates they put up when the bathrooms are closed. They resemble jail bars and make the school feel more like a prison rather than a school. However, the school is only partially to blame, students are at fault for the conditions as well. Most of the bathrooms are covered in writing on the wall, peeled paint, and a huge mess of water(?) and paper towels on the floor. We, as students, need to do better at keeping the bathrooms clean. The janitors work very hard to keep the school clean, but they can't keep up with us if we don’t do our part. We are in high school and are capable of using the bathroom without writing on the walls and making a huge mess while washing our hands. The bathrooms are a mess and we need to do better at keeping them clean.
