Student Spotlight: Julianna White

Julianna White is a junior at Powell High School. She has been attending Powell since the fifth grade. If she could choose what school she could go to she would go to West or Fulton. Her favorite thing about school is socializing and seeing her friends on a daily basis. Her favorite class is cosmetology with Mrs. Odell. I asked her why and she responded that she really enjoys doing and learning how to do hair and plans to pursue that after high school.

She was on the swim and volleyball team for the school. She started swimming when she was 5 and stopped after freshman year and played volleyball freshman and sophomore year. Julianna has a big heart when it comes to her friends and family. ¨I don’t play about them.¨ she says. She and her best friend have been friends for a really long time, they have a lot of memories including them playing volleyball together. In her free time, she hangs out with her friends, of course that’s when she’s not at work.

She works almost every day at Wendy’s. Five words she uses to describe herself are hardworking, laid back, funny, nice ¨when I want to be¨, and determined. She has a bright future ahead of her and it is all inspired by her Papaw.
