Teacher Spotlight: Mrs. Fuson

For my teacher spotlight, I interviewed Ms Fuson. She is an English teacher that has been at multiple schools. She started teaching at Powell in 2015. Her favorite class to teach is AP Lang and Comp. In her free time she loves being outdoors and taking hikes. Mrs. Fuson also likes to do crafts and enjoys sewing. Being an English teacher, she is an avid reader and enjoys books. Her older brother lives in St Louis, but they are able to keep a close relationship over the phone. Her oldest brother lives in Middle Tennessee, so she is able to see more of him and gets to have a closer relationship. She says, “my best friends are quirky. One thing I really pay attention to is how invested they are in other people. If they are caring they are my type of people.” Ms Fuson believes that the only thing that she would like to see more of at PHS is diverse opportunities for students to be more involved. She says sports are very highlighted and she believes that there should be more clubs and groups that the different students can join and feel a part of something.
