Tennessee and Florida are one of the biggest college football rivalries. Coming into Saturday's game, the Vol's record against Florida for the past 17 years shows they had only won once; in 2016. The Vols were 3-0, going into the game with a lot of confidence. Florida was 2-1, looking for a win. Florida was looking good on offense, and the game was very close. It went back and forth and was a big offensive game, and with the score being 17-14 at halftime, Tennessee won. During the game, Hendon Hooker became the 2nd Tennessee quarterback to get 300 plus passing yards and 100 plus rushing yards in one game. With 7 minutes left, Florida went for it on 4th and 2 and scored 38-27. Florida drove the ball down and scored again with only a minute left in the 4th quarter, making the score 38-33, but they missed the 2-point conversion to cut Tennessee’s lead down to 3. Florida then goes for an onside kick, recovers it, and need a touchdown to win. With 5 seconds left, Richardson threw the ball, praying for a touchdown, but it was intercepted by Tennessee. This made Tennesee win the game. Tennessee then got their 2nd win over Florida in 18 years, and Volunteers fans were left happier than ever after defeating their rivals.
