Tennessee remained undefeated coming into their homecoming game against UT Martin, and they didn't let Martin get in their way at all. Tennessee came out supporting Pat Sumit by wearing blue sweatbands and arm sleeves. Hendon Hooker came into this game putting on a show and got taken out with 2 minutes left in the second quarter and the score was 45-7. Joe Milton took Hooker’s spot, and on his first play, it was a trick play. He tossed it to Fant, and then Fant heaved it to Jalin Hyatt for the touchdown. The game's leaders were Jalin Hyatt who had 7 receptions for 174 yards and 2 touchdowns, and Hendon Hooker who went 18-24 for 276 yards and 3 touchdowns. Dylan Sampson also led the game in rushing with 13 carries and 62 yards, averaging almost 5 yards a gain with 1 touchdown. Games like these are great for teams like Tennessee because they give backup players time on the field. Plus, Tennessee gets to remove stress before playing Kentucky and Georgia. Tennessee faces Kentucky on Saturday, October 29 at 7:00 Eastern Time at Neyland Stadium and plans to wear their new black helmets with their black uniforms.
