Following a month-long investigation, the 15th Judicial Drug Task Force identified a woman named Peggy Brewington, who was identified from a Facebook post and arrested on a trespassing charge in Jackson. The officers questioned Ms. Brewington about how much marijuana was on her property, she then stated “maybe an ounce.” After officers searched her residence and property, they discovered 20 pounds of marijuana inside and around 40 plants around her property. More plants and products were uncovered during a search of a nearby residence. She has been arrested, and her case will be taken to the Jackson County Grand Jury.
