Game Summary:
Following a tight battle the Admirals moved to 2-0 while the Panthers dropped to 1-1. The Panthers were in control most of the game, but a late surge from the Admirals got them over the line. Junior RB Connor Wheeler opened the scoring with a 75-yard TD run giving Powell an early 7-0 lead. The two teams then had a fumble recovery each with Farrgut botching a handoff, and Powell fumbling inside the Admirals' 30. The two sides then slowed down on offense trading punts. QB Deuce Rodgers then threw a long-range bomb to Junior WR Dylan Stooksbury giving the Panthers a 14-0 lead. Farragut proceeded to march their way down the field, getting the ball to the Panthers' goalline. Farragut RB Troy Lockhart would score for the Admirals making it a 14-7 game going into halftime. To begin the second half Admiral RB Wyatt Drummy would have an electric 40 yd run tying the game 14-14. Powell would answer back with a power run of their own. Panther RB Connor Wheeler took a 68-yard run to the house, giving the Panthers a 21-14 lead. The Admirals scored another TD, however, the PAT would get blocked leaving the Panthers with a 21-20 lead. The Panthers' offense stalled once again, forcing them to give the Admirals the ball with under 3 minutes to go. The Panthers' defense held and put the Admirals into a 4th and 17 situation with under 20 seconds to go. The Admirals would score a game-winning touchdown pass, and score a two-point conversion, winning the game 28-21.

Panthers RB Connor Wheeler continues to show why he is going to be an All-State level RB, getting 8 touches for 166 yards and 2 TDs.
Farragut:
The Admirals proved that they can run the ball with their senior RB duo, rushing through the Panthers' defense all night long.

The Panthers will travel to Blankenship field on August 31st (tonight) to take on the 1-0 Oak Ridge Wildcats who are fresh off a 30-13 win over Jefferson County.
Farragut:
The Farragut Admirals will take on the 2-0 West Rebels inside Rebel Stadium on September 1st.
