Many people think freshman year is scary, but it isn’t. I am going to tell you some things you
should know as a freshman. First things first, pay attention to what the teacher tells you to do. If you don’t, you are more than likely going to end up in the office or in big trouble.
And teachers don’t put up with bad behavior. Next, don’t start or include yourself in
drama/arguments, because if you do, you’re going to end up in a big mess. Also don’t bully, (even on social media) because if you do you're obviously going to be in big trouble, and you'll getting suspended for a while. Another tip is to focus in class, because if you don’t, you are more likely to struggle. Also, it’s okay if you were lost on the first day of school trying to find your classes, because upperclassmen did the same trying to find their classes, and if you ever need help always ask a teacher! They will help you. Another piece of advice is to get involved in a lot of clubs, because this can help you be active and it can help you in the future.
One of the changes I’ve noticed moving from middle school to high school is the freedom we
have. I like how we can have more freedom in high school. For example, you can have your
phone, you don’t have a teacher walking with you in the hallways, and you can sit wherever you want at lunch instead of sitting at your class tables. With this freedom comes enormous
responsibility. So, my fellow freshman, be mindful of that responsibility and enjoy freshman year!
Those are my tips to help you survive your freshman year.
