Friends and family love Wilderness At The Smokies! The reason why is because the resort keeps getting better. They have decided to expand the water park and add more attractions to the park. The Wilderness opened in June 1995. With 30 different lodging options to choose from, this resort gives a cozy, rustic feeling to every customer who visits. The Wilderness announced another water park next door, named Soaky Mountain Water Park. Soaky Mountain Water Park opened back on June 27th. It is a 50-acre park and costs about $90 million to build. According to Sevierville, Tenn. According to WVLT, “Wilderness at the Smokies announced the beginning of a $40 million expansion project that will add 40,000 square feet to the Wild WaterDome indoor park. The project is the largest in the resort's history and will include the building of a new water coaster.”
There are activities there for everyone. "Are there any toddler areas in the Wilderness?", parents ask. Some families were worried that there weren't going to be any sections for the toddlers, but it turns out that there are in fact sections for the younger children. They have a two-story interactive play feature with kiddie slides, bounce swings, teeter-totters, concessions, and more. The concession stands throughout the park include places such as Starbucks, Taco stands, yogurt stands, and more. They also have a marketplace and a deli where you can get fresh sandwiches. The prices of the food are within the budget of twenty to thirty dollars and include meals, drinks, and snacks. The lodges at the Wilderness include different villas such as River Lodge Suites and Stone Hill Suites. Holiday Events at the Wilderness Of The Smokies are different events for each holiday, such as Christmas events, Halloween events, and more.
