How To Make An Easy Christmas Ornament

By Cassadie Moneymaker

Have you ever wanted to make your own Christmas ornament? Well, here are some tips.

I’m going to tell you how to make three different ornaments.

Wrapped Candy Ornaments

Step 1: Cut a square of parchment paper.

Step 2: Place a round ornament in the center and wrap the paper around the ornament like candy, twisting the paper to secure it.

Step 3: Add decorative bows to either end and hang.

Starburst Ornament

Step 1: Paint the inside and outside of the toilet paper rolls with contrasting paint colors and let them dry completely.

Step 2: Measure 2 inches down the roll and mark all the way around before flipping the roll over.

Step 3: Measure 2 inches down and mark all the way around so you have a ½-inch-wide gap marked in the middle of the roll.

Step 4: Starting on one end, cut eight evenly spaced lines, stopping at the 2” mark you made.

Step 5: Flip the tube around and repeat step three on the other side.

Step 6: Fold down the cuts you made on one side and cut the rectangles into points with scissors.

Step 7: Repeat step 5 on the other side.

Step 8: Finish the star off by flattening the folds to ensure they stay in place.

Step 9: Add a ribbon or hang the ornament onto the tree through the opening!

Twig Ornaments

Step 1: Just grab some twigs.

Step 2: Use glue and embroidery thread to make patterns and shapes (like these cool trees or

stars!).
